I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla, and I also caught a rock in the glass on the highway. At first it was a regular “star”, and then in the cold it went in a grid along the entire lower part. I contacted Auto Glass Stores in Prince George, BC - I chose them because several friends had already recommended them. And, honestly, I was happy. Firstly, they immediately told me the exact price over the phone, without any “and here’s another $50 for the molding” and so on. Secondly, they worked directly with my insurance company - Intact Insurance - and I didn’t have to pay anything out of pocket at all, I just showed the policy. The process itself took a little over an hour, although I was immediately warned that taking into account the preparation of the car, it could be up to two. While I was waiting, I calmly sat in their showroom, there is coffee, Wi-Fi, everything is clean and civilized. Regarding the glass: they offered three options - cheap no-name (they honestly said that it is rarely installed), Pilkington and the original from Toyota. I took Pilkington - it costs about $80 cheaper than the original, but the quality is really decent, no optics are damaged, nothing is distorted. About the installation: everything is clear, they used some kind of glue with a quick setting, but they still said not to touch the car for a day. As a gift, they gave a bottle for cleaning the glass and a sticker on the glass so as not to turn on the wipers for the first 48 hours.
