Younger - Season 6 BEST

The sixth season of the American comedy-drama television series Younger was ordered by TV Land in June 2018. It aired from June 12 to September 4, 2019, and revolves around the lead Liza Miller, who has to manage her career in the publishing industry having faked her identity as a younger woman to get her job, whereas her romantic and professional lives are marked by ups and comings. Sutton Foster stars as Miller, with Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Hilary Duff, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann and Charles Michael Davis also returning from the fifth season. The season was produced by Darren Star Productions and Jax Media, with Star serving as showrunner. Younger was renewed for a seventh season on July 24, 2019, making it the longest running original series in the network's history.

Younger - Season 6

TV Land renewed Younger for a sixth season in June 2018, ahead of the fifth season's premiere.[13] The first table-read took place on February 15, 2019,[14] whilst filming commenced in the following week.[15] Miriam Shor directed one episode of the season, summing two installments directed by her on Younger.[16] TV Land president Kevin Ray affirmed that the season would focus on the relationship between the characters of Liza and Charles.[17] In the season's first official trailer, series creator Darren Star revealed that it would also chronicle Empirical Press' workplace and inside relations.[16] Younger was renewed for a seventh season on July 24, 2019.[18]

Younger's sixth season premiered on June 12, 2019, and concluded after twelve episodes on September 4.[19][20] In September 2018, it was announced that the series was moving from TV Land to Paramount Network, airing during Thursdays.[21] However, in April 2019, it was announced that it would stay on TV Land, airing on Wednesdays.[22][23]

An official trailer for the sixth season was released on April 17, 2019.[24] On June 9, 2019, the season premiere was screened at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, followed by an interview with cast member Debi Mazar and writers Sarah Choi and Joe Murphy.[25][26]

A partnership with Reese Witherspoon could be as big of a score for Empirical/ Millennial as Edward L. L. Moore, and it could potentially draw a younger-skewing crowd that will prove that hiring fresh and female blood was worth it.

Younger is almost back, baby! Although season five ended on a bittersweet note, with Liza (Sutton Foster) and Charles (Peter Hermann) finally together but feeling uncertain about it given the cost their relationship came with (Charles's job, mainly), it seems things are back on track for the adorable couple . . . OK, well, not totally. This show loves drama, after all, so we would never expect things to be 100 percent perfect. In the new trailer, it seems everyone at Millennial now knows that Liza was the assistant Charles had an affair with, and Liza may or may not have accidentally dropped an L-bomb on her new boyfriend. Uh-oh. Watch the trailer above before season six returns to TV Land on June 12!

TV Land has yet to announce an official release date for Younger Season 7, but based on past history, we have a pretty good idea of when to expect new episodes. Seasons 4, 5, and 6 of Younger premiered in June and ended in August/September. We expect the next season to follow a similar schedule.

Last year in my Season 5 review of Younger I remember saying that I was suprised that the show had made it to 5 seasons. Now on its 6th and renewed for a 7th I have come to realise I am not suprised at all. When I stop and really think about it I realise that Younger is honestly one of my favourite shows to watch and no other show brings out such raw emotion in me. I can go from laughimg to full on crying in a matter of minutes and it just goes to show how great of a show Younger really is. I truly hope it continues for a long long time.

This marks the latest occasion that TV Land has renewed Younger for a future season ahead of a season premiere, something that the network has done consistently with its tentpole scripted series since Season 2. The move once again enforces how well the millennial sitcom is performing for the network, and even though the show's premise may seem unsustainable, it looks like Younger is going to stick around even if Liza's secret finally comes out to everyone.

When Younger first debuted back in 2015, the show was primarily concerned with its deceitful premise: 40-year-old Liza Miller (Sutton Foster) had to keep up a lie that she was 26 in order to keep her new job at an ageist publishing company following her divorce. But now that the show is about to enter its fifth season, Younger is much less concerned with the age trickery that its title suggests (since most of the main cast knows her secret now), but rather the steamy, unpredictable love triangle that Liza has found herself in with the impulsive young tattoo artist Josh and her established boss Charles.

With her love life on the rocks on both the Josh and the Charles side of things, Liza is starting off Season 5 in a confusing place, which only becomes more complicated since the premiere episode is centered on the #MeToo movement, according to an interview Sutton Foster gave The Daily Beast. Following the societal reckoning of powerful men misusing their positions of power to abuse women, Charles and Liza will be forced to do some soul-searching about whether or not their relationship has ever been appropriate. The TV Land president underlined that this season of Younger is outstanding in his Season 6 pick-up announcement, so fans will have a lot of new twists to look forward to before the wait for Season 6 begins.

As for when we can expect Season 6 of Younger to come into our lives, it is not easy to predict. Although the show followed a somewhat erratic release schedule for its first few seasons, both Season 4 and 5 premiered in June of 2017 and 2018, respectively. That would suggest that the sixth season will probably premiere in June of 2019.

For starters, Charles (Peter Hermann) and Liza (Sutton Foster) are finally an out-and-proud couple that can exist together in the real world. At the end of the fifth season, Charles stepped down from his post as the head of publishing company Empirical, which means he is no longer in the office. Instead, Kelsey (Hilary Duff) is leading the company.

The nasal spray flu vaccine, licensed for children over 5 years of age as Flumist, has been available for a couple of years now. However, the vaccine has not been available for use in children under age 5 years or in anyone with a history of asthma-like symptoms. That disappointed some parents of younger children who had been awaiting an option to the injection form of the flu shot.

However, shots can't be given until the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's vaccine advisers have voted on whether to recommend them -- a vote is scheduled for Saturday -- and CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has signed off on that recommendation. The White House has said vaccinations for younger children may begin next week.

"Many parents, caregivers and clinicians have been waiting for a vaccine for younger children and this action will help protect those down to 6 months of age. As we have seen with older age groups, we expect that the vaccines for younger children will provide protection from the most severe outcomes of COVID-19, such as hospitalization and death," FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert M. Califf said in a news release. "Those trusted with the care of children can have confidence in the safety and effectiveness of these COVID-19 vaccines and can be assured that the agency was thorough in its evaluation of the data."

"There still was, during the Omicron wave, a relatively high rate of hospitalization during this period," he said. "That rate of hospitalization actually is quite troubling, and if we compare this to what we see in a terrible influenza season, it is worse."

Mifflin, already strong on tradition, returns almost everyone from a team that advanced to a regional final in 2006-07. The Punchers have good size to go with quick guards. . . . Northland boasts quality guards and a strong post player in Destiney Gaston. Other City North coaches cited the coaching of Dean Washington as an asset that the Vikings tough to beat. . . . . Brookhaven has even more tradition than Mifflin to go with an excellent crop of freshmen. Those young players should complement senior guard Da'Keisha Mann. Coach Reggie Lee is back for his 27th season.

Brookhaven guard Da'Keisha Mann (5-9, sr.) averaged 17 points per game in 2006-07. . . . Beechcroft's Kara Grooms, (5-6, sr.) is an excellent shooter who can also penetrate and either score or pass. . . . Linden forward Cierra Johnson (5-9, jr.) is coming off a sophomore season in which she averaged 17 points and nine rebounds. . . . Northland's Destiney Gaston (6-2, jr.) was a force in the paint last season with averages of 11 points, 11.5 rebounds and four blocks.. . . East point guard Sharvonne Scott (5-11, jr.) was an excellent passer (eight assists per game) and rebounder (7.4 per game) last season as well as a scoring threat (11-point average on 54 percent shooting from the field). The Tigers also have an inside presence in Imani Calhoun-Riley (6-5, sr.) who averaged 8.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.4 blocks last season.

Linden might be the sleeper in the league, with younger players who have matured, particularly Martia Reed and Cierra Johnson. ... East returns four starters from 2006-07, including one of the best point guards in the state in Sharvonne Scott. . . . Centennial point guard Rebekah Reese (5-8, jr.) averaged eight points and 1.7 assists last season and is expected to carry the scoring load for the 76ers.
