We implemented Trust Swiftly last fall for a microfinance project — reliable and legally significant remote identity verification is also important to us, because we work with contracts that require verified passport data and user consent. Moreover, the contingent is very diverse, from young people to pensioners, so we put the issue of "simplicity" at the forefront. What I can say from experience is that Trust Swiftly provides a really powerful tool, but, as with any software, a lot depends on how you implement it. Out of the box, they offer a bunch of verification methods: document upload, selfie with head turn, facial expression analysis, behavioral biometrics, voice recognition, NFC ID reading and even video calls with operators (if you really need strict verification). But you don't have to enable all of this. For example, we left 3 steps: a photo of the document, a selfie and video verification. This turned out to be more than enough to filter out fakes without overloading the user. It can be really hard for older people. At the first stage, we tested Trust Swiftly on a focus group of 60+, and here is an important point - the interface and explanation of each step. Do not hope that "everything is intuitively clear." We added our own tips, screenshots, voice instructions, and this really improved the passage. The system itself works stably - if a person makes a mistake, it does not throw him out, but offers to repeat. If remote identity proofing is important to you, I would advise starting at least with a trial version - and then testing it with live users.

I confirm, Trust Swiftly has really become a good find. We are currently using it selectively — for remote verification of the identity of drivers submitting rental applications. There were no major problems, but, as Ilya correctly said, a lot depends on how well the user scenario itself is built. And yes, remote identity verification is no longer a "feature", but a basic necessity in many areas.
