Some of the biggest boxing matches of recent times have been broadcast by BT Sport Box Office; Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois, Anthony Yarde and countless other fighters have cemented their names in history under a BT Sport Box Office fight card. Then of course there is the ongoing Tyson Fury saga, with his road to becoming the undisputed heavyweight king taking many unpredictable and unexpected turns who knows what will come next. As the home of Fury's bouts, BT Sport Box Office is the only place to find out.

You need to have fibre broadband to order and watch via your BT TV Box. If you have copper broadband, you can still order and watch via the BT Sport Box Office app. Please note the BT Sport Box Office app is not available for WWE events.

In this guide, we will do our best answer the most common questions about Android TV boxes including how they work, whether they're worth the money and list some of the most popular Android smart TV box brands.

An Android TV box is a streaming device that you can plug into your TV to be able to watch streaming services, such as Netflix, which are typically only available on portable devices such as laptops, tablets and phones, or on smart TVs. These TV boxes are also sometimes known as streaming players or set-top boxes.

Much like a NOW TV Stick or Google Chromecast, an Android TV box plugs into the back of a TV via the HDMI port. However, once plugged in an Android TV box will look and feel different to a NOW TV Stick or other devices because they operate on different systems.

The streaming services, on-demand services and apps you can access will vary depending on the brand of Android TV box. For example, the homepage of the Amazon's Fire TV devices has a live TV tab where you can access apps to watch TV including BBC iPlayer, All4 and My5.

Many of these apps require you to create an account, but are free to watch. However, if you want to watch live football on an Amazon Fire TV Stick that does require a Prime Video membership, which costs 3.99 a month.

The size of the device can correspond to how powerful it is. For example, many of the most popular Android TV boxes offer 4K streaming or gaming capabilities, while this is only offered on mid-range or more expensive smart TV sticks.

However, even most 4K smart TV sticks are considerably cheaper than an Android TV box. The starting price for an Android TV box is 80 and it can go as high as 200. When smart TV sticks can be as cheap as 30, it is easy to see why you might choose a smart TV stick over a more expensive TV box, especially when both devices are primarily used to give a new lease of life to an already old TV.

If it is just for a small TV in the spare room, a smart TV stick like Roku Premiere would do a fine job for 39.99. Otherwise, you may prefer to invest in a device that's powerful enough to game on or have more sophisticated voice recognition technology like the Amazon Fire TV Cube or Nvidia Shield TV Pro.

With Dolby Vision and Atmos, the Nvidia Shield TV Pro streams in 4K HDR. Google Assistant is built-in to allow you to control your TV with your voice. And if you've tried out previous Nvidia Shield devices, you'll be pleased to know that this Android smart TV box is 25 per cent faster than its predecessor thanks to the Nvidia Tegra X1+ processor.

A smart TV stick and Amazon Echo smart speaker combined, the Fire TV Cube is Amazon's most powerful TV device. A great option for anyone with more Amazon subscriptions than they can keep track of with navigation made easy thanks to voice assistant Alexa. Read our full Amazon Fire TV Cube review.

You may be more familiar with Xiaomi's phones than TV boxes but the Xiaomi Mi TV Box S gives you access to a range of apps including Netflix, YouTube, and Google Play. This Android smart TV box offers 4K streaming and built-in Google Assistant means you can navigate the TV box via voice commands.

Everything packed by FedEx Office is backed by the FedEx Office Packing Pledge. If your item is especially fragile, there may be an additional charge for extra packaging. Please note that the prices listed do not include shipping. Need shipping supplies, too? Check out in-store shipping supplies available for purchase.1

Regardless of the form they take, there's no denying how useful a good Android TV box can be. These versatile devices can be used to stream content to your television, play locally stored files, video games and more.

But that's where we come in. With the help of our buying guide and recommendations based on extensive testing, you will be able to safely navigate your way to finding the perfect Android TV companion.

Running the official Google TV OS, you have access to all the software on the Google Play store. Plex is preinstalled and you can still install Kodi if you want to go beyond Netflix, Amazon Prime, iPlayer and the other usual suspects. And while the 16GB of onboard storage space is limiting, you can always upgrade it using a USB 3.0 external drive.

In posts on GitHub(Opens in a new window) and Reddit(Opens in a new window), Daniel Milisic warns about the T95 Android TV Box, which he bought a few months ago on Amazon. The product, which also uses the Allwinner h616 chip, is currently being sold on Amazon and AliExpress, starting at around $40.

Based on his analysis, the malware operates similarly to the CopyCat(Opens in a new window) Android malware, which can hijack a device to install apps and display ads to try and generate revenue for cybercriminals. Milisic also told PCMag he found evidence a separate malware, called Adups, was installed over the device too.

His GitHub post goes on to offer a way to partially disable the malware by disrupting its communication path to the hacker-controlled servers. But for non-tech savvy users, the easiest way to address the threat is to pull the plug on the product. In a Reddit post(Opens in a new window), Milisic said that doing a factory reset simply reinstalls the malware on the TV box.

The fusion of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for advanced image and sound combines two technologies that directors, sound mixers and colorists use to create spectacular entertainment experiences. Delivering a more lifelike experience, watch hundreds of titles in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV+.

For everybody but enthusiasts, Google's newest Chromecast just about makes every other Android TV box irrelevant. For $50, you get 4K, HDR (Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and HDR 10+), a discrete form factor, the new Google TV interface, and a very nice remote control with both Bluetooth and IR. If that's all you need, look no further.

While the interface is generally snappy enough, though, it doesn't quite have the processing oomph you'll find in Nvidia's boxes. It also only has a single USB port, which means you'll need a USB hub to attach accessories like SD cards to expand its eight gigs of storage. It doesn't support Stadia yet, either (although no Android TV devices officially do). If you can operate within those limitations, it's an easy recommendation.

Nvidia's Shield TV Pro is, by just about any metric, the most capable Android TV box you can buy. It's capable of 4K HDR output (along with pretty impressive upscaling for sub-4K content), it runs a number of exclusive games like Nvidia's ports of Doom 3 and Half-Life 2, and it can even be used to host media for running a Plex server. While the 2019 model doesn't include the gamepad that was bundled with the previous generation, it does come with a new-and-improved remote control. Nvidia also has a great reputation for keeping its Shield boxes up to date. At $200, though, it's the priciest pick on this list by a considerable margin.

The non-Pro Shield TV is smaller, less expensive at $150, and works just as well for streaming 4K video. You're forfeiting compatibility with high-end Android ports of PC games (due to a gig less RAM) and the ability to run a Plex server, but it offers the same great media streaming experience, fancy upscaling and all. We gave it our Most Wanted award in 2019.

Xiaomi's Mi Box S is a pretty popular choice, and with good reason. For $60 (at time of writing), it offers a lot of the same features as pricier options, including 4K HDR streaming. It's still getting updates, too. If you're really averse to the Chromecast's Google TV interface (or you can't get your hands on one for some reason), the Mi Box S could be for you.
